It's extraordinary how seamlessly the intricate sounds of Indian tabla merge with melodic piano and soulful rhythms in this elegant blend of jazz, classical, and world music. From lyrical ballads to groove to J.S. Bach, this unique collaboration traverses some diverse musical territory, but always uses one cohesive and incredibly lucid voice to do so. Sky features the music of composer/pianist Bill Douglas as well as the masterful tabla playing of Ty Burhoe. They are joined by the brilliant bass of Kai Eckhardt and genius drummer Steve Smith.
